In the 150+ years since John Atkinson formed our company, we have endured through the reigns of kings and queens, the turmoil of world wars, economic recessions, and the devastating fire of 1998 that destroyed our company premises. ORIGINS
The origins of our company can be traced back to 1862, when we began as roof tilers and slaters.
John Atkinson Ceilings Ltd was established in 1952, making us likely the oldest suspended ceiling contractor in the UK. However, to better reflect the full scope of services we offer, the company name was changed in 2003 to John Atkinson Interiors Ltd.
Throughout the years, we have consistently maintained our position as a leading specialist contractor, known for our reliability and practical, common sense approach. As a result, we have successfully delivered contracts on time, to the highest standards, and at the best value.
To meet the growing demand for a more comprehensive service offering, our range now includes acoustic panels and baffles, acoustic art (Atkinson Acoustiprint®), in addition to our core expertise in suspended ceilings.
